Jimmy GrossBorn and raised in Texarkana, Arkansas, Jimmy Gross is one of those rare people who are satisfied with life and appreciative of all the good they have received. Yet his reference to himself as a ‘just a good old country boy’ is a little misleading.

With a double major in business and agriculture Jimmy has a love of the land and a deep appreciation for and insight into, the financial lives of all of the clients he represents. Back when he was with Farm Credit he worked with lots of big farmers. They tended to be wealthy but cash poor. So when he went to Metlife that was one of his requirements of them, to work with large farms and show farmers how they could pass on their estate to their heirs. He wanted to be able to offer that service. Jimmy regards his clients as his second family. He says that when they come in to visit, they are coming home.

Married to his wife Renda for 42 years, he describes her as the family anchor who ensures that the family unit remains strong and united, organizing Christmas and family get togethers and keeping everybody happy. They have a son Jason who works with Jimmy at Gross Williamson and a daughter Julie who is a dance teacher.

When he left Metlife in 1999, Jimmy partnered with Nick Williamson to form Gross Williamson, a company they have owned for more than ten years. In keeping with Jimmy’s love for family and friendship, it is worth noting that Nick and Renda graduated from high school together and that Jimmy and Nick had played sport against each other from the age of 10. Loyalty and friendship are attributes that define their business where clients quite naturally become friends.

In 2000 Jimmy finally realized a dream when he was able to purchase a farm and run an additional 700 acres of land. Although only 5 years old, his grandson Travis accompanies him all over the farms so that he too will benefit from his grandfather’s desire to pass on his estate someday to someone with a love of the land that parallels his own.

What began as simple advice from his mother: “If you want something badly enough, you can achieve it with good, hard work, has evolved into a business that continually attracts new clients looking for an ethic that seems rare these days. Jimmy loves the connection and trust he has with his clients and says as long as he can do the best job for them he won’t be retiring any time soon.

Born and raised in Texarkana, Arkansas, he lives by his mother’s teaching : If you work hard enough you can have anything you want.

Nick WilliamsonMarried to his wife, Pam of 17 years, father of three children, two step children and three wonderful grandchildren, Nick Williamson is a goal oriented high achiever who is dedicated to living life well and ensuring that those around him do so too. He pushes himself beyond the limits, always looking to be the best he can be in both his private and public life. His real life 'bucket list' ensures that he never gets complacent.

Nick completed his advanced degree at Texas A&M. He is an international member of the Kiwanis and Million Dollar Roundtable and has run several marathons and countless races and participated in a large number of cycling events. His strong family values and a deep love for his community keeps him well connected to and familiar with, their goals and values. A hard won understanding of endurance, stamina, will power and determination along with a competitive edge, always has him on the lookout for the best strategies for his clients.

Describing himself as constantly in service of other, Nick is a volunteer at hospice, active in his own church community and a mentor to younger sportsmen and women. One of the most important lessons he has learned over the years is balance. "Without it," he says "You can lose everything." This is a facet he applies as carefully to each of his clients' portfolios, as he does to his own life.

Starting with MetLife in 1990, Nick worked in the TSA market with school teachers. They constantly asked about retirement and how to prepare for it and he wanted to educate himself so that he could help educate the educators. This developed into a field of interest that kept evolving. Having garnered the knowledge and experience he needed at Metlife, Nick Williamson partnered with Jimmy Gross to put their unique stamp onto their own business and created an independent financial service company to cater to the needs of fellow Texarkana inhabitants.

Committed to assisting every one of his clients to maximize their financial potential and achieve financial peace of mind, Nick is a much sought after financial professional in the Texarkana region. A man with a mission to walk the Great Wall of China and ride the Hotter 'an Hell Race, as well as provide for others who need care, he has no plans to slow down anytime soon!

lisa DoddVoted 'Most Dependable' in high school, Lisa Dodd knew from an early age that she wanted to be a secretary, earning awards for her typing skills. She’d always told her grandfather she would take care of things at his business, so the fact that she’s known as 'Mom' at both home and at work is no coincidence. She says: "Growing up, everybody came to our place because it was always safe and warm." Making people feel welcome is a natural extension of the wonderful family life she enjoyed as a child. You will often hear her say: "I have the best family in the world."

Lisa is never bored. Immersed in a business that constantly changes and evolves, she finds herself challenged to grow and learn every day. Organizing the office, which is run with a combination of efficiency and warmth, she provides an energetic, yet stable, support system to both the representatives and their clients. She started out at Metlife where she was rapidly promoted to Assistant Agency Administrator and in 1996 to Agency Administrator. In 2000 she joined Nick Williamson and Jimmy Gross as their Assistant in their own company in Texarkana.

By nature a supporter, Lisa is naturally soft-spoken and gentle, two character traits that frequently mislead those around her into underestimating her. Although she likes the simple things in life, like hunting with her husband or walking on the beach, Lisa has an adventurous side. Her travel experiences include New Mexico, Cozumel and Belize. It might surprise folk around her to discover that she is a certified scuba diver, who loves to explore largely uncharted territories. It probably would not however surprise any of the company’s clients to discover that Lisa was involved in cheerleading and Pep squad back in high school. She always encourages those she meets to have fun and be the very best version of themselves. She says: "I was lucky. I grew up surrounded with happiness. I want to pay it forward by being able to touch lives and leave them warm and strong."

Wanting to make a difference began with her father, her late mother and two brothers. Although she is the youngest of three siblings, she is the eldest and only daughter and ably fills the role of 'Mom'. Carrying on the tradition of solid marriage and family, Lisa has been married to her husband Gary for 21 years. She is a step mom to two great children, as well as the appreciative grandmother of 6 wonderful grandchildren and the nurturing ‘mom’ of a small Yorkie who rules the roost,  Actively involved in her church as a pianist, Sunday school secretary and Church Clerk, Lisa is closely connected to her community both privately and in her public life.

Jimmy Gross Jr.With a father as a best friend and a mother and sister whom he loves and admires, it's easy to see why Jason Gross has a large sense of family that extends into his business life. His deep appreciation for old-fashioned values and ethics is reflected in a stability and maturity way beyond his years, a legacy he claims, that stems from a culture of hard work and appreciation that surrounded him, growing up.

Easy-going and a self-proclaimed prankster by nature Jason represents the next generation within their financial services firm. Originally a retail and mortgage banker he relocated to Texarkana to join Jimmy and Nick and learn the financial services business. It was a natural fit for the man who says: "The nicest thing about helping people, is knowing you’ve made a difference and guided them thoughtfully through some of the biggest decisions in their lives. People appreciate it when you care. My clients become friends. I establish life long relationships."

Although Jason is proud to have played baseball for Arkansas high school and the American legion he describes his biggest accomplishment as graduating from the University of Central Arkansas. Like all the men in his family he has a deep love of the land, hunting, sports and fishing. His biggest dream is to own land in different states, where he can take family and friends to celebrate life.
